On January 01, 2022, the average market price of bromine was 53,142.86 RMB/ton, and the average market price at the end of 2022 was 44,600 RMB/ton. In the first half of 2022, the price of bromine is high. In the second half of 2022, the price of
bromine fell in the downturn and the weak operation market. Data show that the total production of bromine in 2022 is
about 90,000 tons.
In 2022, China's annual total production of bromine was 87,000 tons, an increase of 11.54% from the previous month. From
the perspective of production variation, the peak of production appeared in June, when it was the high temperature and low
rainfall season in bromine producing areas, and the seawater bromine production increased significantly. The low point of
production appeared in January, mainly due to policy and environmental factors. On the one hand, bromine plants in Weifang
region routinely stopped production and limited production in winter according to policy requirements. On the other hand, the
low temperature of seawater in winter was not conducive to the production of seawater bromine, and most of the seawater
bromine enterprises maintained a state of shutdown.
